Hydroponics¶
An overview of the physical hydroponics system — its structure, growing method, and subsystems.
What is Hydroponics?¶
Hydroponics is a method of growing plants without soil. Nutrients are dissolved directly in water and delivered to plant roots, enabling precise control over the growing environment.
Subsystems¶
| Subsystem | Description |
|---|---|
| Design | Growing technique, frame, and water system |
| Environment | Lighting and airflow |
Relationship to Automation¶
The physical system is monitored and controlled by the automation layer. Sensors measure water and air conditions; actors respond to keep parameters within target ranges.
